Fresh off the sold out Kevin Hart “Let Me Explain” tour, Kevin Hart presents the Plastic Cup Boyz featuring comedians Na’im Lynn, Will “Spank” Horton, Joey Wells and Lavar Walker.
Na’im Lynn grew up using Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy for muses; it wasn't long before he developed a knack for out-of-this-world comedy that has him skyrocketing to the top as the next big thing.
And he proved it with his Comedy Central special “The Half Hour: Na’im Lynn” live from Boston. Best known as the opening act for his friend, famed comedian Kevin Hart, Na'im travels the world over blazing the stage as part of Hart's non-stop tour that has produced two genius comedic movies, "Seriously Funny" and "Laugh at my Pain"; Na'im also stars in the latter.
After winning a showcase with NBC, he started a ripple effect that has had him riding a wave of success ever since with spots on Comedy Central, HBO, BET, TV One, UPN, VH1, Jamie Foxx's "Foxxhole Comedy Series," and as a cast member on Fuel TV’s "Master Debaters with Jay Mohr," just to name a few. Will “Spank” Horton is currently one of the most respected headliners in comedy and his career gained major momentum in 2011 when he was featured in the box-office hit movie “Laugh at My Pain”, starring comedian Kevin Hart, a movie based on the record-breaking comedy tour. Horton made his network debut on BET’s Comic View in 2002, just six months after he started his career as a comedian. Horton went on to perform at various comedy venues and landed a spot on Coming to the Stage in 2004 and was a semifinalist.
In 2005 Horton was a runner up in the Bud Light Comedy Competition, and in 2008 he returned to BET and performed on the One Night Comedy Stand. Horton has also quickly evolved into one of the most popular and successful college acts, performing at more than 100 colleges and universities. Horton’s extensive tour schedule has taken him overseas and in 2010 he performed for the troops in Korea.
Before his big-screen debut, Horton toured with comedian Kevin Hart and was the opening act on the I’m a Grown Little Man tour for four years. He went on to open for Hart on the “Seriously Funny” comedy tour, and subsequently the “Laugh at my Pain” and “Let me Explain” tours. The “Laugh at my Pain” tour was adapted into a successful full-length feature movie with Horton showcasing his acting skills by performing skits alongside Hart and other fellow comedians. This year Horton shot his first independent project, a movie called “Sucka 4 Love”, due out in 2013. In August he will head to Los Angeles to film another independent film called “House Sitter”. Lavar Walker is a pharmacist by day and comedian by night. During the past three years he has quickly burst into the comedic circuit like a case of flu-you’d never know what hit you. Lavar’s comic acts range from deep inner soul to ordinary everyday life situations. He can keep it clean or he can get down and dirty. Lavar pokes fun at circumstances that we’ve all encountered in our lives at some time or another. Lavar has performed on Jamie Foxx’s “Laffapalooza”, Robert Townsend’s “Partners in Crime”, “The Monique Show”, BOUNCE TV’s “Uptown Comic” and has traveled all over the United States including cities such as Atlanta, Los Angeles, New Orleans, and Chicago. He’s exploded on the scenes at community events, political functions, gospel extravaganzas and even corporate affairs. “Lavar is nice on the mic” says comedian/radio show host Rickey Smiley. “He’s just funny as hell!” Knowing that laughter is the cure of all pain, Lavar is eager to expand on his standup routine and he’s ready to take your city by storm.
